Avetyan List

We would like to direct our request to all people of good will.
We, the citizens and former residents of the Republic of Armenia, are not going to tolerate the atmosphere of lawlessness and impunity in Armenia any longer. We call upon everyone concerned to join our move and to bring criminal and corrupt owners of Armenia to justice.
My brother, Vahe Avetyan, was beaten to death by a direct order of the Armenian Mafia oligarch, president of the Armenian Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan, the so-called Nemets Rubo. A large group of restaurant employees and Hayrapetyan's personal bodyguards beat Vahe Avetyan to death during a June 17, 2012 incident at the Harsnakar Restaurant that belongs to Nemets Rubo.
12 days later, Major Vahe Avetyan, head of ENT Department of the Yerevan Garrison Hospital, died in a Yerevan hospital on June 29, 2012 without regaining consciousness. Vahe Avetyan was only 32.
It was yet another warning signaling that one of the fundamental human rights - the right to life - is not protected in Armenia. Similar tragedies cast a shadow on the country's Constitution in which we all proclaimed the Republic of Armenia as a state of law.
The brutal beating and the following death of an Armenian citizen and an officer of the RA Armed Forces have created an atmosphere of depression and helplessness among the country's citizens and further deepened distrust towards the future of their Motherland.
People in different countries strongly condemned brutal killing organized and carried out by the people in power in Armenia. Now we demand that the authorities of Armenia investigate and identify the real culprits and bring them to justice.
However, because the corrupt and criminal oligarch ruling continues to exist in Armenia under the protection of government and continues to commit crimes without fear of punishment, we need to direct our protest against the official criminal-oligarch class of owners who waste Armenia and Armenian people.

We believe that the international community should join and render its strong support to our cause otherwise people of tortured Armenia are not able to fulfill the task of eradicating this criminal regime on our own.
Armed oligarch leaders of Armenia are not afraid to commit crimes because they believe that they are above the law, they own the country, they enslaved their own people and they are unpunishable.
Throughout the years, Armenian criminal leaders, including Nemets Rubo, have publicly threatened to physically "punish" journalists and all those who dare to speak against them.
But we are not afraid. We demand to set up a Public Tribunal in Armenia for Vahe Avetyan’s case and to bring all perpetrators of the killing to justice. We know that Vahe's murder is not fairly investigated and his attorneys are not given all information that they are asking for to fairly prepare the case for trial because the Armenian government refuses to cooperate in that investigation process.
No one in Armenia trusts the public prosecution system that is why we request that the international community and the governments of other democratic countries interfere.
We ask to help the Armenian people punish the Armenian oligarch criminals who are either involved in human rights violation or cover up those who are involved.
The so-called "Magnitsky List", endorsed by the US Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee in June of 2012, envisages sanctions against official human rights abusers not only from Russia but from just about anywhere else.
Now we call for creation of a new "Magnitsky List" that can be named "Avetyan List" and to impose sanctions against official human rights abusers from Armenia.
We are still working on that list and we demand that the US government, International Human Rights Organizations and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe pass the proposal to impose entry bans and asset freezes on Armenian government officials deemed to be responsible for the death of Vahe Avetyan and who are responsible for human rights violations in Armenia.
We demand entry ban on the children and relatives of the Armenian officials involved in the human rights violations in Armenia. We demand asset freezes on all the relatives of the Armenian government officials who transfer their money stolen from the Armenian people to secure them in different banks of Europe and the United States or invest them into the property abroad.

All the Armenian oligarch officials and their criminal supporters should be deprived of their diplomatic immunity and banned from traveling abroad.
